DISCLAIMER: I mention at the end that it only plays GBA ROMs which is incorrect. Thank you to commentor Cestus Fr for pointing that out. If you create a folder called gb on the SD card and place Game Boy ROMs in there, it will play them without needing a patch. Same goes for NES ROMs. Create a folder called nes in the root of the SD card and place your NES ROMs in there.

A Ninkasi (Eugene, OR) seasonal release... it's the Maiden the Shade Summer IPA. 6.8%, very citrus-y. Not a hop-forward drink, but very smooth and refreshing. A great blend of a NW IPA and... dare I say... a Shandy?

In this video, I do a full overview of my experience with receiving and testing out the EZ-Flash Junior Flash Cart for the Game Boy and Game Boy Color. I purchased this like anyone else would have right from the front end of the flashcarda website, and had no issues with that process. Honestly aside, from the less than thoughtful shipping packaging, I am generally really pleased with this cart and my purchasing experience.

This cart does absolutely work in the original DMG Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Pocket and pretty much everything right on up to the Gameboy Advance SP console. I was surprised to see it even works with the Super Nintendo Super Game Boy player too. That being said, it will not work with the Nintendo DS or DS Lite.

The RivalBoss here. Today I wanted to share with you some retro gaming goodness. It's a Flashcart made for the Gameboy Advance, and Early DS. (The ones with the Gameboy Advance slot) It is called the Ez-Flash Omega. And this little flashcart can do more then just play Gameboy Advance games. It will play Normal Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, and even NES games. You can put a lot of roms on this little cart (about 514 per type NES,GB,GBC,etc.) You can find them for around ~38 dollars shipped on places like ebay which is about the cheapest I have seen them. These are much better then the Supercard Flash Card Mini Sd Card (that has Bobafett on the front) These are very outdated, and hard to get to work. Now with this little cart and a gameboy advanced you can take about 2000+ nintendo goodness with you on the go.

Yeah, I know, you can get these pre-assembled, but haven't you seen any of my videos? I like putting things together. Plus, I already had a cart that I'm using for parts so why not save a bit at the same time? If you want to DIY the flash chip, you can use any of the gen three pokemon games (any region). There are probably cheaper games out there to source the chip, but again, just working with what I had.

Once you've got the flash chip on there, there's not much else you need to do. Mine did not come with a capacitor next to the chip (since these carts work fine without the flash chip as well for most games, you just can't save) so I decided to add one. Per Alex at InsideGadgets, it's a 0.1uf cap and I used a 0805 sized one. Easy peasy if you can do the flash chip.

Once you've got the cart assembled, you can reflash it normally with a GBxCart RW. Other readers may support this (or may be modified to support it) but at this time, none of my other readers seem to support flashing the ROM (they all handle the save just fine though).

The biggest pro of this cart and what I wanted to test in the first place, is that since it works with unmodified GBA Pokemon ROMs, it DOES work fine when used as the source cart for a Pokemon gen four PalPark import. I tested this with the save and ROM dumped from my legit Emerald cart and then with my legit Pokemon Soul Silver cart in a DS Lite.

Cool, right? I thought so. If you're just looking to play the games though, you might be better off just getting an EZ Flash Omega or something.
